Thank you to all of our family and friends and teachers who have offered to help us in so many ways. We are thankful for your prayers and offers to drive kids, do errands, helping in any way. One precious story that really makes us giggle is this:
We are to bring a number of gifts that will be given to caretakers at the orphanages. It is really random what we are to bring, but it is suggested that you bring red gift bags with red tissue (not white because that means "death"), with all kinds of inexpensive goodies. One suggestion was that the caretakers love American/European cosmetics, and love the samples at the cosmetic counters. Kris' father asked what he could do to help and when she mentioned gathering these samples to family, he jumped on it. Yesterday, our 75+ year old, retired hospital administrator father hit Eden Prairie mall, Southdale, AND the Mall of America! He brought his picture of Ingrid and approached every cosmetic counter he could find to ask if they had samples. We have so many gifts for these caretakers! Oh how I wish I could have been there to see him ask everyone! He rarely ever enters a mall, so we know this was such an act of love for us and for his new grandchild! What a blessing!
Thanks, Dad!
